New York Roof Hook
The NY Roof Hook is essentially the head of an All-Purpose hook, with a slightly redesigned to FDNY specification. The aircraft hollow steel shaft is strong and durable, and has a chisel end and celtex grips.
This tool was developed by the New York City Fire Department Research and Development Unit for a variety of Truck Company operations. It is commonly used by the Roof and OV positions.
The chisel end is used as a prying tool for scuttle hatches and roof doors. The short lengths are good for going up fire escapes and scuttles to the roof.
